Winds of Change?

Is National and Racial Unity in Malaysia going to the dumps?
Do You Feel Discriminated?
Are you afraid of friends of other Races?
Feeling jealous at those who are smarter? richer? handso-mer?
OR
Are you happy with your life and your community?
Do you feel that we can all get along?
Can we all live a peaceful life...SINCERELY???
You believe there would be issues ofconflict but we can always work things out peacefully...Without RIOTS and throwing Sio Bak at others???
Well,I believe...
-Malaysia is one of the best places you could grow up in
-That my friends, be they Malay, Chinese, Bidayuh, Iban, Indian or any race or ethnic background, can have good lives living with each other
-That contradicting beliefs and ideas can be sorted out into better understanding of each other
-There is still hope for this country to fix it's current yet somehow continually existing problem of racial unity, social seggregation and discrimination
-To change the way our society thinks, believes and treats each other can be changed for the better, it starts with us,the youths
-The way you brought up is an integral part of the way you would live and percieve life
-A true individual who cares for their family and friends would try their best to ensure their well being
-Malaysia is and will always be my home...no matter what people say or do

Let me tell you a story...no...let me SHOW and SHARE WITH YOU a story...
A story of unity and togetherness...eventhough we did not realise it at first.
A truly coulourful racial story...

*Note: A government operated Catholic Missionary School...yes...Malaysia has this too*
A plot to throw Nasi Lemak at the Chinese Boys?
A plot to throw Pork Noodles back at Malays?
Chinese vs. Chinese (even we have our misunderstandings)
2 smart Chinese + 1 smart Bidayuh
We all can show some vanity at times
1 Incredibly smart Chinese who, even without a scholarship,
did not shit and rant about it
Freedom of Affection
2 Bidayuhs and a Chinese
Freedom of Expression
Sexual Harrasment? Call the ISA
an Iban-Chinese and a Chinese-Bidayuh-Iban fellow

That fellow and another Bidayuh

Praying together (We do Christian Prayers mind you...a tradition)
Dancing together
Accept others for who they are..Why the force to change?

We all have the right to live together

Dominance of 1 Race?

I think NOT.

Unfortunately i did not have any Indian classmates or any of other races...but i do have great friends of every ethnicity in my life...and for that,i am truly proud and grateful. I will not be naive and think that all our lives are such fairytales...But this is but an example of how simple and fun life was and is in our society. I am sure you have such experiences too. Where your background didn't matter...where you could hug or shake hands with another friend without being labelled a traitor to your race...a time when life was peaceful and our conflicts were settled with a nod of understanding.

What I'm saying is,if these situations exist in small parts of society...what's stopping it from manifesting itself in our lives. We have nothing to lose by doing so. But the way our society has been shaped poses a barrier to those who really want to make life a better place...For now,we can only do our best and live together while those who have the power to impact big changes actually act. We watch and see...but when the time comes for you to act,do what your heart tells you.

Live the life God gives you.

Make the right choices with the guidance of your faith and belief.

For even in the troubled world we live in,

There is always rightousness in the actions we make.
